Bangladesh politics

Please do not allow these two 'Begums' to gain the power of Bangladesh politics again. Keep them in the loop of current convictions as they are right now. They no longer deserve to be the leader of this nation again. They have bought and sold our nation, and used its revenue as a source to gain their personal wealth. They're parasites of our nation. The nation has suffered enough because of these two 'Begums' than all other natural There are deliberate attempts by the caretaker government to delay elections beyond 2008. This unelected and unconstitutional government has exceeded it's 90 day deadline to hold the parliamentary elections by 2007. With full backing from the US,UK, UN, EU, international financial institutions, two big NGOs and MNCs it has been able to strangle democracy way beyond the period it was supposed to exit the scenario by holding a free, fair and impartial election long long ago.Now Dhaka is flooded with rumors that the ISI-styled dreaded fascist defence forces intelligence has hired a yellow journalist by the name Naeem to float the idea of postponing elections in 2008 in his army financed, newly floated 2 taka newspaper since implantation of the army-backed govt in 2007. It's main intention is both to sway public opinion in the unelected government's favor and also to see public reaction to their unconstitutional fascist desire to hang on to power.

The Election Commission (EC) has finally decided to prepare simultaneously national identity cards and a voter list with photographs for holding the stalled ninth parliamentary election. The massive undertaking is likely to start after July and it will require at least a year to be completed. So, the ninth parliamentary election might be held at the end of 2008 or in early 2009 after the task is completed, senior officials of the EC Secretariat predicted. "The work of preparing the Voter list and national identity cards will start simultaneously following a single procedure. There is no point in spending time and money separately for the tasks," Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda said.
